Our Story

Lisa explains… I worked for Bristol Decorator Centres in Melbourne for a total of fifteen years. I started when the company was family owned and saw first hand the Wow Factor. Bob White (the owner) would often come into the store on a Saturday morning and serve customers, even carrying the paint to their cars. He just loved it, and it showed.  It is that level of customer service that we want all of our clients to experience with Mobile Property Services.

Sam would pick me up from work and start chatting to the customers while waiting for me to finish up. Being Italian it wasn’t long before they would be discussing the latest renovation, with Sam offering advice and letting them know where the best deals could be found. Sam started helping his Dad at age seven, passing the nails and holding the hammer, he soon learnt how to build a house from the ground up. We’ve now done so many renovations I think I could almost build a house.

This is where the idea for Mobile Property Services was born. Customers would ask if we could just come round after work to have a look at their home and see for ourselves the problems they were describing. The idea of going to client’s homes stayed in the back of Sam’s mind for quite some time, we had no idea it would eventually turn into Mobile Property Services.

Bought our first Reno…

We went on to renovate homes in Melbourne, and Queensland before deciding to take our then three year old daughter and one year old son to live in Italy (see our pics in the Gallery). We didn't know anyone and had nowhere to live, and ended up falling in love with a derelict farmhouse at the foot of the Italian Alps. If you think renovating in Australia is tricky ask Sam about renovating in a strange country with a three year old, a one year old and a homesick wife.

He ended up mixing his own paint from Lime, Cement and Ocher in a cement mixer and applied the whole lot with a huge brush that looked like the head of a broom. (Paint rollers are rare in Italy)

Renovating was in our blood, that's when we decided that when we got back to Australia we would start our own business. So here we are.......
